Deacon Bob Staab and his wife, Susan, have been parishioners of Assumption since 1970, the year in which we were married. They raised three children, Daria, Brian and Kevin here in Mt. Healthy. All three attended Assumption School and now each are married and are raising their families in nearby suburbs. They have five grandchildren, Amber, Alyia, Carlie, Georgia and Charlie.
Bob retired from the Post Office as Manager/Postmaster of Groesbeck Branch in 2001 and embarked on a new career as a Special Deputy Sheriff with Hamilton County in 2003.
As he neared retirement from the Post Office, he sensed the Holy Spirit calling him to serve in the Church according to His design. Earlier in his life, Bob had previously entered the seminary during his junior year in high school and had continued there for six years. After retirement from the Post Office, Bob completed the Lay Pastoral Ministry program and Diaconate formation and subsequently Bob was ordained a deacon on April 28, 2007.
